Jailhouse Lawyers Speak members around the nation are making a direct appeal for people locked up to disrupt the normal prison operations of America. These demonstrations will be known as National Shut Em Down Demonstrations.”

“Over the last year prisoners across the country have been holding the longest and largest spontaneous demonstrations in response to covid. With approximately 300,000 (the number is possibly as high as 800,000) people in prison having been infected by covid prisoners have continued to demand basic human rights protections.”

MOTHER’S DAY: Sponsoring Women Jailhouse Lawyers

“With the women population exploding in the near future, we should expect women’s living conditions to become as brutal, violent and inhumane as men’s prisons across the board. There is a need to ensure that they have equal access to our resistance networks. Prisoners’ National Demands For Human Rights

“These are the National Prison Strike 10 Demands of 2018. We are fighting to have them implemented across the country. Since the last national prison strike, we have saw little changes as prisoners, and a great deal of it has to do with our voices being ignored in regards to the listed demands. We demand our human rights. We are not beasts. Change the conditions and you will change attitudes”

Jailhouse Lawyers Speak “General Open” membership for prisoners

“On a southern plantation (prison) JLS was founded in 2015 amongst a group of Jailhouse Lawyers who were already in unity as a cadre based upon the studies of George L. Jackson. This original group of comrades makes up the current central committee. Today, Jailhouse Lawyers Speak (JLS) is a national collective of imprisoned persons who fight for human rights, by providing other prisoners with access to legal education, resources, and assistance.”

You can help spread Seasonal Joy to Prisoners

“During the seasonal holidays, prisons seem to have extra weight in the air. Prisoncrats usually allow holiday meals or in a few places food gifts. We have 5 places we will be funding cater services. Find out how you can help in your area — example: mailing out cards or notes. Other ways, find indigent prisoners you can order package food for, [Be sure to tell these same prisoners to share]. You could even buy their children gifts. Many would prefer this over everything else.”
